Which papers qualify
Pennsylvania's official advertising rules live in Title 45 of the consolidated statutes: notices run in newspapers of general circulation in the relevant county. Pennsylvania adds a wrinkle most states lack: many counties also maintain a legal journal, a specialized publication of the local bar, and a range of notices must run in both the general newspaper and the legal journal.

Booking before the deadline
Identify the county's paper of general circulation and its legal journal (the county bar association lists it), send the same text to both desks, and diarize both proofs of publication. The legal journal is easy to forget and its omission is the common defect that forces republication.
